(TRA), a Thermo King dealership, is looking for a motivated and mechanically skilled Equipment Installer to join our Lowell, AR team.In this hands-on role, you'll install APUs, transport refrigeration units, cab air conditioning systems, air and coolant heaters, and other custom equipment on commercial trucks and trailers.This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in diesel, automotive, HVAC, truck equipment, refrigeration, or mechanical installation who enjoys working with tools, solving problems, and learning new equipment. What We Offer$23.00 - $25.00/hour based on experienceFull-time employmentMedical, Dental & Vision InsuranceHSA with employer contributionsEmployer-paid Life & Long-Term Disability Insurance401(k) with employer match after 1 yearPTO starts Day 1Paid holidaysPaid training and certification supportCareer growth opportunitiesBoot and safety glasses allowanceTraining opportunities with Thermo King and related equipment What You'll DoInstall APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) systems on commercial trucksInstall cab air heaters and coolant heatersInstall new and used transport refrigeration units (TRUs / reefer units)Install cab air conditioning systemsAssemble custom products, components, and equipment for customers and OEMsFollow installation procedures and meet standard installation timesOperate company and customer vehicles, forklifts, hoists, and shop equipmentUse hand tools, air tools, ladders, scaffolding, and creepers safelyMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaComplete work orders and required documentation accuratelyTravel occasionally for training, customer installations, or road serviceWork at customer locations and outdoors in varying weather conditions when neededFollow company safety procedures and maintain confidentialityPerform other duties as assigned What We're Looking ForHigh school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training preferredExperience in equipment installation, diesel, automotive, HVAC, refrigeration, truck equipment, or a related mechanical field is preferredStrong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn new equipment and installation proceduresValid, unrestricted driver's licenseBasic computer and math skillsStrong verbal communication skillsProfessional appearance and dependable work habitsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamWillingness to work overtime when business needs requireWillingness to travel for training and customer needsAbility to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Certifications You'll ObtainYou'll receive training and support to obtain certifications required for the position, including:EPA 609 Refrigerant CertificationThermo King TriPac / APU Installation CertificationForklift Certification Tools & EquipmentEmployees in this role must have a toolbox with standard and metric hand tools and air tools appropriate for the work. Physical RequirementsThis is an active, hands-on installation position. You should be comfortable with:Lifting up to 100 lbs several times per dayFrequently standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and climbingPushing and pulling equipment and materialsRepetitive hand and arm movements and frequent grippingWorking from ladders, scaffolding, and creepersWorking in and around trucks, trailers, and shop equipment️ Work EnvironmentThe position is primarily based in a service/shop environment but may require road calls, customer-site work, and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.You may occasionally be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and moderate levels of shop noise.
