Summary : General Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring our subway, elevated, and rail train stations are safe, sanitary, and welcoming for the public. 

Work Schedule: Monday- Friday

Job Duties:

• Station Cleanliness: Sweep, mop, scrub, waiting areas, stairwells, concourses, and turnstile areas.
• Sanitation & Waste: Empty trash, debris, and recycling bins across the station premises and load waste into designated disposal areas or trucks.
• Restroom Care: Clean, disinfect, and restock passenger and employee restrooms.
• Graffiti & Hazard Removal: Scrape away debris, wash walls, and utilize approved chemicals to remove gum, graffiti, or spills.
• Other cleaning duties as needed to support operations.

Requirements:

• Experience with cleaning commercial buildings a plus but not required.
• Must have the ability to work with other crew members.
• Must be able to listen to customer requests and follow supervisor instructions.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Steel toed shoes are required when applicable.
• Ability to work in hot conditions.
