Job Summary:
Seniors Helping Seniors Central Oklahoma is seeking a compassionate and reliable Caregiver to provide companion care to a senior client with dementia. As a Caregiver, you will be part of a team that brightens the lives of seniors by providing a helping hand and a friendly smile. Our caregivers, who are seniors themselves (aged 40+), make life a little easier by taking care of day-to-day tasks that become more challenging as seniors age.
Responsibilities:
Provide companionship and homemaker duties, including light housekeeping, shopping, and errands
Assist with personal care duties, including dressing, feeding, showering/bathing, mobility assistance, toileting/incontinence, and memory care
Engage in activities that bring joy and stimulation to the client, such as playing games, watching movies, or going for walks
Document client's progress and daily activities
Maintain open communication with the client's family and our organization
Requirements:
Previous Caregiving experience, CNA, HHA, PCA, DSP, or experience caring for a loved one
Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug test
Valid Driver's License with a reliable vehicle and insurance
Maturity to deal effectively with the demands of the job
Ability to follow detailed instructions to execute our care plan
Maintain the highest standards of customer service and professionalism set by Seniors Helping Seniors
Working Conditions:
Part-time schedule with flexible hours
Occasional light lifting and bending may be required
Must be reliable and able to commit to regular shifts
